Charles Zimmerman

Charles M. Zimmerman, age 94, of Chambersburg, PA passed away on Sunday evening, December 29, 2013. He was born in Metal Township on May 10, 1919. A U.S. Navy Veteran, Mr. Zimmerman served honorably during WWII. He retired from Letterkenny Army Depot where he worked in electronics and was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ.

The last of his immediate family he is survived by numerous nieces and nephews; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Fritz of Chambersburg; and a brother-in-law Richard Etter of Yuma, AZ. His loving wife Vera Etter Zimmerman preceded him in death on June 21, 2011.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM on Friday, January 3, 2014 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Private interment will be in St. Thomas Cemetery.
