Cheryl Deanette Runk, 72, of Chambersburg, passed away on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at her home. Born June 27, 1949 in Pueblo, CO, she was a daughter of the late Dean and Mary Katharine Peterson.
Cheryl was employed as a clerical worker for PennDot for 35 years until her retirement in 2005. She was a member of the Moose Lodge #842 in Chambersburg. Cheryl loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed playing bingo, and supporting local fire companies at their fund raising events.
She is survived by two sons, Chad Peterson and wife Micki of Honey Grove, PA, and Chaz Runk and wife Kristen of Chambersburg; five grandchildren, Cody, Ansley, Hannah, Dusty and Ashley; one great granddaughter, Lorelei; and two sisters, Rhonda Foehlinger and husband Andy of Lewistown, PA, and Karen Smith and husband Jim of East Waterford, PA. In addition to her parents, Cheryl was preceded in death by infant twin siblings.
Services and interment will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA.
