Chester Quick

Chester Benjamin Quick, 83, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at his home. Born December 30, 1929 in Shandaken, NY, he was the son of the late Chester and Mary Labunoyn Quick. His wife, Hazel Newman Quick, preceded him in death on November 11, 2011.

A US Army veteran, Chester served honorably during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a truck driver for Deyo Lumber Co., where he retired in August of 1987 after 32 years of service. Chester enjoyed watching Westerns, especially those with John Wayne, Gene Autry or Roy Rodgers. He also enjoyed his career as a truck driver, the outdoors, cars, and collecting model cars.

He is survived by his three children, Shirley Dickerson and husband Gary of Fayetteville, PA, Katherine Rosario and husband Jose, of Accord, NY, and Mary Webb and husband Richard of Hagerstown, MD; 12 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and two brothers, James and Stanley Quick. In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Howard and Clarence Quick.

Services entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA will be private.
