Christella Taylor

Christella Taylor, age 81, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at Falling Spring Nursing and Rehab Center. Born January 19, 1937, in Dothan, AL, she was a daughter of the late Willie James and Essie Scott.
Ms. Taylor spent most of her working years as a homemaker caring for her family. A social butterfly, Ms. Taylor enjoyed spending time with family and friends; she also enjoyed dancing, music, and reading.
Surviving are five children, Jessie Green of MA, Nancy Green of NJ, Carl Taylor (Brandy) of Chambersburg, PA, Tony Taylor (Janell) of Chambersburg, PA, and Elvester Taylor (Jessica) of Shippensburg, PA; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and five siblings, Carolyn Trawick (Jimmie), Cora Scott, Al Scott, Brook Scott (Melveena), and Cathy Scott (Ronald Noble) all of Ashburn, GA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Kevin Lamar Taylor and Julius Green; one daughter, Lolethia Green; and sister-in-law, Jackie Scott.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 1, 2018, at 2:30 PM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA, where Pastor Mike Sanders and Rev. Jerry Traister and will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will be private.
