Christine Woodcock

Christine Marie Woodcock, 43, of Walkersville, MD and formerly of Chambersburg, passed away on April 6, 2016 at her home. Born April 17, 1972 in Glens Falls, NY, she was the daughter of Mary L. Mills and the late William R. Woodcock, Sr.

A 1990 graduate of James Buchanan High School, she earned her B.S. in education from Shippensburg University. She then went on to earn two master’s degrees from Hood College in Frederick, MD. She was employed with Montgomery County School District as a teacher and most recently a vice principal until her retirement in January of 2015. Her love of education stemmed from watching Sesame Street. Christine enjoyed playing bingo, watching Dr. Who, reading to children and she loved her cats.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by two brothers, William R. Woodcock, Jr. and wife Holly of Fayetteville, Daniel J. Woodcock of Memphis, TN; two nephews, Connor and Thomas Woodcock of Fayetteville; paternal grandmother, Irene Woodcock of Fort Ann, NY; step-grandparents, Stanley and Arlene Green of Fort Ann, NY; three aunts, Sandra Wood of Chambersburg, Sue Heiser and husband Rick of Elizabethtown, PA, and Kelly Wells and husband Keith of Mansfield, MA; and her uncle, Stanley Green, Jr. and wife Jodi of Ballston Spa, NY. Aside from her father, she is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Clarence Woodcock, maternal grandparents, Clarence Wood and Eleanore Green, and her aunt, Judy Steele.

Services and interment will be private and under the direction of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA. The family requests the omission of flowers.
