Clarence C. “Bud” Trump, Jr., 84, formerly of Chambersburg, died Friday, December 9, 2011 in Shippensburg Healthcare Center. Born on April 17, 1927 in Finksburg, MD, he was the son of the late Clarence C., Sr. and Annie Smith Trump. A truck driver for sixty-six years, Bud retired from D.M. Evans and after retiring drove for Lamtech. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, Bud was an avid bowler, bingo player, and visitor to various stores in the area. Perhaps more than anything else, he enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a life member of Burt J. Asper Post 46 American Legion and a member of Charles Nitterhouse Post 1599 VFW, both in Chambersburg.
He is survived by his loving wife, Bettie Hossler Trump, whom he married August 7, 1990; three children, Clarence C. “Skip” Trump, III and wife Veda of Chambersburg, Jeanne M. Mixell and husband Earl of St. Thomas, and Kevin W. Baugher of Chambersburg; eight grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. The last of his immediate family, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Sullivan Trump on April 30, 1957; two daughters, two brothers; and two sisters.
A memorial visitation and service will be held from 5:30-7:00 PM Monday, December 12, 2011 at Park Avenue United Methodist Church, 125 Park Avenue, Chambersburg, PA. Pastor Suzanne Elliott will officiate. Interment will be private.
