Clarence Trump

C. “Skip” Trump, III, 62, of Chambersburg, PA, died at home Monday afternoon, October 15, 2012, with his loving wife Veda by his side. Born August 9, 1950 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Clarence C., Jr. and Dorothy Sullivan Trump. Following graduation from high school he served briefly with the US Marine Corps, receiving an honorable discharge. He was employed for more than thirty years with the former T.A. Zullinger and Ace Distributing in Chambersburg as a driver and warehouseman. At the time of his passing he was employed by the Boro of Chambersburg at the electric department. Skip enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and especially looked forward to vacationing with his wife at the Outer Banks of North Carolina and hunting deer with his friends. He was a former marathoner having run the Boston Marathon and qualifying to go back a second time. Skip was a member of Park Avenue United Methodist Church in Chambersburg, a life member of the Franklin Fire Company in Chambersburg and a former Sergeant with the Boro of Chambersburg Fire Department at the Franklin Street Station. He was a former member of Frank L. Carbaugh Post 373 American Legion in Greencastle.
He is survived by the love of his life, Veda J. Trump; four sons, Michael Johnson, Randy, Terry and Steve Holtry; nine grandchildren whom he loved dearly; his step-sister, Jeannie Mixell; and his step-brother, Kevin Baugher. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sharon Lynn Skelly.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Park Avenue United Methodist Church with Rev. Suzanne Elliott officiating. Private interment will be in Hartman Cemetery, Hustontown, PA. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Friday and from 10:00-11:00 AM Saturday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Skip’s name be made to Park Avenue United Methodist Church, 1140 Edgar Avenue, Chambersburg, PA 17201 or to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, 1500 Rosecrans Avenue, Suite 200, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266 or at www.pancan.org.

Arrangements are entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA.
