Clark E. Trace, 75, of Greencastle, passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Merritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, MD. Born September 22, 1943 in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late Norman and Ina Walker Trace.
Clark was a 1961 graduate of CASHS. A US Army veteran, Clark served honorably from 1961 – 64. He was employed as a Quality Assurance Specialist at Letterkenny Army Depot for 29 years until his retirement in 1993. He was a fan of the New York Yankees and the Detroit Lions. He enjoyed woodworking, reading, golfing, soul and blues music and dancing. Clark also enjoyed coaching little league and playing softball.
He is survived by three children, Tia Jones of Littlestown, Dionne Donghia and husband Scott of St. Thomas, and Clay D. Trace and wife Kimberly of Greencastle; seven grandchildren, Taylor, Katie and Cole Jones, Aubrey McClanahan, Tucker Short, and Brook and Bryant Gladfelter; four great grandchildren, Camden East, and Karper, Maeli, and Lana McClanahan; and his sister Norma Davis of Chambersburg. In addition to his parents, Clark is preceded in death by his sister, Sharon Trace.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Pastor Josh Baldwin will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM on Monday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
