Cody Johnson

Cody Michael Johnson, 23, of Chambersburg, PA, died Tuesday evening, August 12, 2014 as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Born June 26, 1991 in Chambersburg, he was the son of Deanna Mellott and Michael B. Johnson, both of Chambersburg. Cody was a 2010 graduate of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School and was employed for the past four years at T.B. Wood’s, Inc. He had attended King Street United Brethren Church and was a member of the Lonestar Hunting Club. He liked working on vehicles and especially enjoyed spending time with his daughters and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his fiancé, Alexis Winesickle; two daughters, Gracie Marie and Addison Louise Johnson; his sister, Kayla Johnson and fiancé Greg Sprow of Shippensburg; two nephews, Blake and Brayden Sprow; Maternal Grandfather, Delano Mellott of Chambersburg, Paternal Grandfather, Bruce Johnson of Chambersburg; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandmother, Deborah Mellott and his Paternal Grandmother, Janet Johnson.

Funeral services will be held at 8:00 PM Friday, August 15, 2014 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA with Rev. Paul B. Baker officiating. Private interment will be Parklawns Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
