Connie B. Swope, 82, of Chambersburg, PA passed away Sunday, September 17, 2023 at the Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg, PA. Born July 7, 1941 in Chambersburg she was the daughter of the late George and Isabella (Fracker) Perry.
She was a graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School. Before becoming a wife and mother, Connie was employed as a floor clerk at the Chambersburg Hospital. She later worked as a clerk at Rite Aid Pharmacy on the square in Chambersburg. She previously attended church at Open Door Church, Chambersburg. Connie loved spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her son, Stephen Swope and his wife Martha of Mercersburg, PA; a grandson, Jeremy Swope; and a brother, George Perry, Jr. and his wife Eva of Fayetteville, PA. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, George E. Swope who passed away November 20, 1996 and a son, Anthony J. Swope who passed away July 2023.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg, PA.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Fulton County Medical Center Long Term Care Faculty, 214 Peach Orchard Road, McConnellsburg, PA 17233 or to Greener Pastures No-Kill Animal Rescue, PO Box 278, Marion, PA 17235.
