Cora Ardrey

Cora Ardrey, age 82, of Chambersburg, passed away at the Chambersburg Hospital on Saturday, April 7, 2018. Born in Huntington, PA, on April 9, 1935, she was a daughter of the late John and Sophie Roman Woods.
Mrs. Ardrey worked as a cook for the Children’s Aid Society for 29 years, retiring in 1998. She enjoyed sewing, cleaning crossword puzzles, gardening, caring for her family, and watching cooking shows on TV.
Surviving are three children, Steven R. Ardrey of Chambersburg, Larry J. Ardrey of Chambersburg, and Cherie Yeager (husband Donald) of Fayetteville, PA; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband David H. Ardrey in 1992 and two sons, Raymond “Reb” and William “Bill” Ardrey in 2003.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 13, 2018, at 1 PM at Broad Top Cemetery, Broad Top, PA. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Charity of One’s Choice.
