Curtiss Boos

Curtiss Wade Boos, 59, of Chambersburg, passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021 at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born August 7, 1962 in Sunbury, PA, he was a son of Etta Wrightstone and the late Otto J. Boos.

Curtiss was a 1980 graduate of the Scotland School for Veteran’s Children. A US Navy veteran, Curtiss served honorably in the Seabees. He was employed as an equipment operator with DM Evans Distributing, Kane Logistics and most recently Franklin Logistics in Chambersburg. Curtiss enjoyed fishing, coaching football, socializing and spending time with his family, especially his two children. He also loved his cats, Greyson and Jojo.

In addition to his mother, Curtiss is survived by his wife of 31 years, Kathy A. Shank Boos, whom he married on March 31, 1990; two children, Joshua Boos (Brianna), and Kalynn Boos (Carlos Ramirez), both of Chambersburg; five siblings, William Wrightstone III (Karena) of Hummelstown, Wiletta Johnson (Brian Sarody) of Middletown, Wayne Wrightstone (Angie) of Camp Hill, Sandra Kauffman (Jake) of Ft. Loudon and Otto J. E. Boos (Amy) of McConnellsburg; step-mother, Audrey Boos of Ft. Loudon; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Aside from his father, he is preceded in death by his brother, Gregory Johnson; and step-father, William Wrightstone II.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 17, 2021 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Pastor Eric Lehman will officiate. Interment will follow the service in Parklawns Memorial Gardens where military honors will be provided by the VFW Post 1599 Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the VFW Post 1599, 747 S. 4th St., Chambersburg, PA 17201 or to Pleasant View Mennonite Church, 346 Warm Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202.
