Daniel S. Goodman, 83, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born April 2, 1940 in Trumansburg, NY, he was the son of the late Harrison Goodman and Elizabeth Lincoln Goodman.
Daniel earned two Bachelor’s degrees, one in Mathematics and the other in Electrical Engineering. He was employed in Systems Programming as a Data Center Program Consultant with a number of brokerage houses such as Merrill Lynch and Bear Stearns. Early in his career he worked for the Bendix Corporation on the guidance systems for NASA’s Apollo program. A computer and electrical engineer himself, Daniel was proud of the fact that his grandfather, Paul Lincoln served as Dean of Electrical Engineering at Cornell University. Daniel enjoyed hunting, cooking, reading and golfing. He was a history aficionado and was an avid New York Giants and New York Yankees fan.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Georgia Gillis Goodman, whom he married on August 1, 1964; two sons, Paul Goodman (wife Pallavi) of Long Grove, IL, and Scott Goodman of Asbury, NJ; and four grandchildren, Lara, Arjun, Jack and Claire Goodman. Aside from his parents, Daniel was preceded in death by his brother Linc Goodman.
