Daniel Rock

Daniel E. Rock, 89, of Chambersburg, PA, died Tuesday morning, February 10, 2015 at ManorCare Health Services. Born March 25, 1925 in Hagerstown, MD, he was a son of the late Clarence and Naomi Hess Rock. Mr. Rock retired in 1988 from the South Mountain Restoration Center. He was a member of the Fayetteville Church of God and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Audrey B. Harmon Rock, whom he married December 24, 1960; a sister, Ruth Bumbaugh; and two brothers, Ommir and Raymond Rock; all of Chambersburg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two siblings, Shirley Barnes and George Rock.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 14, 2015 at the Fayetteville Church of God, 5276 Treher Road, Fayetteville, PA with Pastor Staci Geesaman officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Quincy, PA. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 13, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.
