Danny Wilhelm

Danny L. Wilhelm, 50, of Spring Run, PA, passed away Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Hershey Medical Center. Born July 29, 1968 in Chambersburg, he was a son of Laura Hann Wilhelm of Fannettsburg, PA and the late Frederick H. Wilhelm, Sr. Danny was a 1986 graduate of the Fannett-Metal High School and worked in construction most of his life, most recently with Brechbill and Helman in Chambersburg. He was a member of McCartney Post 232 American Legion. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, hunting for mushrooms and gardening. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his companion of 30 years Margaret Sites; two daughters, Danielle Kessler (Devin) of Chambersburg and Ashley Sites (Richard) of Newport; five grandchildren, Carter, Spencer, Isabel, Mason, and Tucker; four brothers, Kevin E. Wilhelm, Frederick H. Wilhelm, Jr. (Angee), Timothy J. Wilhelm (Lisa), and Rodney L. Wilhelm (Kathy); and step-brother Emmett Washington (Tiffany).
He will also be missed by his faithful canine companion, Harley.

A memorial service to celebrate Danny’s life will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Shady Pine Mennonite Church, 14620 Shady Pine Road, Willow Hill, PA. Rev. Marlin A. Neil will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 AM Saturday at the church.

The family requests the omission of flowers and suggests contributions in Danny’s memory be made to Vickie’s Angel Foundation, 511 Bridge Street, PO Box 174, New Cumberland, PA 17070.
