David E. Angle, 74, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Wednesday morning, October 14, 2015, at Menno Haven. Born November 18, 1940, in Waynesboro, PA, he was the son of Glenn and Alice McLaughlin Angle.
David was a 1958 graduate of CASHS. He was employed as a die maker at James River until he retired after 38 years of service. David enjoyed watching baseball, NASCAR, and football. He was an avid bowler and once rolled a score of 297.
David is survived by two children, David G. Angle (wife Lori) of Carlisle, and Kevin S. Angle (wife Lisa) of Shippensburg; three grandchildren, Chase, Tanner, and Alexis Angle; six sisters, Carilyn Morgan (Sam), Elizabeth Egolf, Mary Lou Washabaugh, Martha Unger (Gary), Glenda Aby (Harold) and Diane Gift (Bill); his companion of 17 years, Shirley Reese; and her children, Linda Melius (Greg), Nicole Reese, John Reese, Michelle Switzer (Tony); her six grandchildren; her three great-grandchildren; and her son-in-law, Daryl Sheaffer. In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Dick Washabaugh and Gene Egolf; and Shirley’s daughter, Tammy Sheaffer.
A funeral service to honor David’s life will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 19, 2015, in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Chaplain Adam Leeper will officiate. Interment will follow in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 18, 2015, from 6 – 8 PM and one hour prior to the service on Monday.
