David E. Cook, 59, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away unexpectedly Saturday morning, November 17, 2018 at his home. Born March 17, 1959 in Chambersburg, he was a son of the late Frank E. and Shirley Grove Cook. David was employed by Franklin County where he worked in the maintenance department at the former Franklin County Nursing Home, retiring after 33 years of service. An avid hunter, he was a member of the South Mountain Fish and Game and Sugar Camp Hunting Club in Saxton, PA.
He is survived by his wife, Stephony Faust Cook, whom he married January 3, 1997; two daughters, Melissa J. Cook of Fayetteville and Christina F. Cook of Chambersburg; four grandchildren, Summer Holtry, Ashlyn Cook, BreighLyne Schooley, and Sage L. Young; and his brother, Frank O. Cook and wife Fawne of Fayetteville, PA.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 21, 2018 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Pastor Staci Geesaman will officiate. Interment will follow at Parklawns Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday and 9:00-10:00 AM Wednesday at the funeral home.
