David L. “Davie” Miller, 69, of Chambersburg, passed away on Friday, August 13, 2021 in the Chambersburg Hospital. Born on May 15, 1952 in Chambersburg, he was a son of the late Frank L. “Goose” Miller and Barbara T. (Ring) Miller.
Davie graduated from Chambersburg Area Senior High School in 1970 and retired from the PA Department of Transportation with 34 years of service. He was a life member of the Chambersburg Club and a former member of the Hume McNeal Byers AMVETS Post 224, Burt J. Asper American Legion Post 46, Charles Nitterhouse VFW Post 1599 and the Marine Corps League. An avid car enthusiast, he greatly enjoyed going to car shows with friends, and he was a lifelong fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and Washington Redskins.
He is survived by two nephews, Travis Miller and Jeremy Miller, both of Chambersburg, and he will be greatly loved and missed by many friends. Aside from his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronnie and Jeff. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 20, in Lincoln Cemetery, with Pastor Murray Stevens officiating.
