David Hagans

David Russell Hagans, age 49, of St. Thomas, PA, passed away on June 1, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer. Born February 17, 1966 in Chambersburg, he was the son of Larry R. and Carolyn Stevens Hagans.

A 1984 graduate of James Buchanan High School, David worked as a memorialist for Gordon’s Memorials for 21 years. He was also the owner operator of Dave’s Mobile RV Service, which he enjoyed very much. David also enjoyed camping, hunting, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of Chambersburg Brethren in Christ Church.

In addition to his parents, David is survived by his wife of 28 years, Angela Conrad Hagans, whom he married on September 6, 1986; two children, Sara R. Shank (husband Benjamin) of Mercersburg, and Adam R. Hagans (fiancé Jamie Exline) of St. Thomas; two grandchildren, Jacob and Emmalee Shank; and his sister, Crystal Hagans of Waynesboro.

A memorial service to honor David’s life will be held at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Chambersburg Brethren in Christ Church, 465 Center St, Chambersburg, PA 17201. Rev. Brent Wildeson and Rev. Gary Bowers will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5:30 – 7:00 PM on Wednesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 924 N. Colonial Ave. York, PA 17403. Arrangements are entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA.
