David Holliday, Jr., 59, of Fayetteville, PA, passed Saturday evening, April 25, 2015 at Chambersburg Hospital. Born September 24, 1955 in Sodus, NY, he was a son Mittie Burch Holliday and the late David Holliday. David honorably served in the US Army. He was employed as a Lead Supply Technician at Letterkenny Army Depot and New Cumberland Navy Depot. He was a member of Charles Nitterhouse Post 1599 VFW in Chambersburg. David will be remembered as a good father and die hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He enjoyed traveling.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sons, David C. Holliday and Travis T. Holliday; three brothers, Willie, Anthony, and Donald Holliday; two sisters, Juanita Luster and Dorothy Solomon; five grandchildren; his long-time companion, Michelle Cave; and a close friend, Doris Cave. Aside from his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Curtis Holliday.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, May 2, 2015 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA with Tony Holliday officiating. Interment will follow in Lincoln Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 PM Friday and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
