David Wells

David F. Wells age 83, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away at his home on Saturday, April 14, 2018. Born November 26, 1934, in Galesburg, IL, he was a son of the late Mason Billard and Evelyn Leone Freda Wells.
Mr. Wells graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Clarkson College in Potsdam, NY. He retired in 1995 after a 30+year career with AT&T. Mr. Wells was an avid golfer and traveler well into his 70’s and an avid bridge player to the end.
Surviving is his wife of 10 years, Susan S. Pape, whom he married in 2008; four sons, Jeff Wells (wife Carol) of Timonium, MD, Scott Wells (wife Patty) of Greensboro, NC, Mark Wells of Westminster, MD, and Brian Wells (wife Denese) of Severna Park, MD; eight grandchildren, Kyle Wells, Cara Gallagher (husband Michael), Alison Martin (husband Jacob), Abbey White, (husband Malcolm), Zachary, Michael, Connor, and Courtney Wells; and two great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn G. Baumer Wells in 2002.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018, from 2 – 5 PM at the Penn National Trellis Terrace, Fayetteville, PA. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA.
