Dawn Lee Carroll, age 61, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2011 in the Hershey Medical center. Born May 16, 1949 in Chambersburg, PA; she was the daughter of Katherine McLaughlin.
Dawn was a 1969 graduate of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School. She was employed as a unit Secretary at the Chambersburg Hospital. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, scrapbooking, making crafts, ceramics, shopping, and jewelry making.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years, Wayne Carroll, whom she married on April 21, 1971; three children, Shayne D. Carroll, Michele A. Baker, and Michael A. Carroll; three grandchildren, Kaje Carroll, and Hayla and Annika Baker; and three siblings, Michele Renzella Smith, Michael Renzella, and Thomas Renzella. She was preceded in death by her loving grandmother, Mary Elizabeth McLaughlin.
A gathering of friends will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2011 from 3-7 PM at the Mohler Fellowship Hall (located behind Scotland United Methodist Church, 4040 Scotland Main St., Chambersburg, PA 17202).
