Deborah L. “Deb” Stratton, age 48 of Mercersburg, PA, passed away in her home on Thursday, October 18, 2012. Born in Chambersburg, PA on February 11, 1964, she was the daughter of Bradley M. Stratton (wife Patricia) of York, PA and Sarah F. Hock (husband Gary) of Chambersburg, PA.
Deb was a graduate of the Thompson Learning Institute in Chambersburg. She worked for Lutheran Social Services for some time until her illness prevented her from working. Deb enjoyed making ceramics and cherished her two dogs; she was a member of the Elks Club and the American Legion Auxiliary. In addition to her parents, she is survived by a son, Robert J. Stratton of Chambersburg, PA and a sister, Kimberly Stratton of York, PA.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA; where Rev. Paul B. Baker will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to the American Kidney Fund, 6110 Executive Blvd., suite 1010, Rockville, MD 20852.
