Deborah K. Yeager, 67, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Monday morning, August 1, 2022 at her home. Born October 7, 1954, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Helen Sowers Carbaugh. Deborah graduated from Hagerstown Junior College as a Nursing Assistant. She was last employed at Ingram Book Company and had previously been employed at Chambersburg Hospital and by Dr. Baker in Fayetteville, PA. She was a social member of VFW Post 1599, AMVETS Post 224, American Legion Post 46, and was a former member of the Women of the Moose, all in Chambersburg. She was also a member of the New Franklin Fire Company Auxiliary. She and her husband enjoyed NASCAR and gardening. She liked helping others and spending time with her family and her pets. Her husband, Ralph E. Yeager, Sr., whom she married in 1974, preceded her in death on December 22, 2018.
She is survived by her son, Ralph E. Yeager, Jr. and wife Cheri of New Franklin; her step-son Stephen Yeager and wife Tina of Fayetteville; three grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; a brother, Harvey Carbaugh (Cindi); a sister, Theresa Shuler (Michael); and her special friend, Allen Baughman. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, James, Richard and Robert Carbaugh; three sisters, Martha Dennik- Snively, Betty L. Carlin, and Jean E. Brookens; and a grandson, Seth Yeager.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Services and interment will be private.
