Debra K. Creager, 61, of Chambersburg, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at home. Born on June 26, 1953 in York, PA, she was the daughter of the late Stewart L. and Evelyn V. Bushey Miller. Debra was a 1971 graduate of Bermudian Springs High School and a graduate of Shippensburg State College. She had been employed as the Alumni Relations Coordiinator at Penn State’s Mont Alto campus since 1997.
She is survived by her loving husband of forty years, Ray Creager, whom she married on August 24, 1974; 2 daughters, Amanda Rettig and husband Jason of Hatboro, PA and Jenell Holstead and husband Michael of Green Bay, WI; 5 grandchildren, Audrey, Isabel (Izzy), and Charlotte Holstead and Abigail (Abby) and Annabelle (Anna) Rettig; 4 sisters, Sandy Stinchcomb of Gettysburg, PA, Glenda Forbes of Glen Rock, PA, Nila Brenemann of Telford, PA, Carla Jett of Cape May Courthouse, NJ; and a brother, Neal Miller of Gettysburg, PA. Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Stewart Miller. Debra, known as Grammy, loved her family, devoting much time to creating crafts with and for her grandchildren. She will be missed greatly.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 17, 2015 at 10:00AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 50 Ragged Edge Road, Chambersburg, PA. Barry Brown will officiate. Interment will follow in Mont Alto Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 16, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00PM at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202.
