Della M. Ile, 71, of Willow Hill, PA, died Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Hershey Medical Center. Born March 20, 1942 in Chambersburg, PA, she was a daughter of the late Andrew John and Mary Ann Glunt Woods. Della was a graduate of the Fannett-Metal High School and served as Postmaster with the US Postal Service at Willow Hill. She attended Spring Run United Methodist Church. She was member and Treasurer of the Path Valley Lions Club; a member and Past Treasurer of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fannett-Metal Fire and Ambulance Company; served with the Path Valley Cemetery Association in the capacity of Treasurer, and was active with the Fannettsburg Community Center. She enjoyed helping with breakfasts at both the Spring Run United Methodist Church and the Metal Township Fire and Ambulance Company, and she liked having lunch at the Path Valley Restaurant with her friends. Her husband, Frank “Bud” Ile, Jr., preceded her in death on November 14, 2011.

Della is survived by two brothers, John Andrew Woods and wife Evelyn of Newport, PA and Robert James Woods of Fannettsburg, PA; numerous nieces and nephews; and her cats, Rascal and Munch. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Geraldine Nimmon.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, March 14, 2014 at the Agett-Geisel Funeral Home, 18875 Main Street, Dry Run, PA with Rev. Phil Foster, Rev. James Fox, Rev. Donna Ryan, and Rev. Marlin Neil officiating. Interment will follow at Upper Path Valley Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 PM Thursday, March 13, 2014 and from Noon-1:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Della’s memory be made to Spring Run United Methodist Church, Path Valley Lions Club, or Metal Township Fire and Ambulance Company. Contributions may be mailed to her brother, Robert Woods, PO Box 306, Fannettsburg, PA 17221-0306. Donations received will be appropriately distributed personally by her family.
