Delores M. Wiley

Delores M. Wiley, 88, of Chambersburg, PA passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 8, 2025. Born May 27, 1936, in Chambersburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Crawford P. and Beatrice E. Johns. 

Delores loved being outdoors and being active, caring for her many flowers and plants, raking leaves, and enjoying life. As a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Delores especially loved being with the little ones and would soak up every moment of their time together. She loved to cook and bake and cherished spending time with family and friends on a quiet afternoon, and while hosting holiday meals and at family cookouts. During the holiday season she would often bake over 100 apple and pumpkin pies and share them with everyone. Many fond memories of her will live on forever and her delicious pie recipes will also. She worked at Letterkenny Army Depot in the Buttonwood cafeteria for many years and developed countless lasting friendships and would always greet patrons with a genuinely warm smile and a friendly hello.

She is survived by her children; Rick Wiley (Theresa), Beverly Foltz (Jim), Jeffrey Wiley (Tammy), Timothy Wiley (Morgan), Darryl Wiley (Wendy); step daughter, Sharon Bumbaugh; and 3 generations of grandchildren. Also surviving are her siblings, Robert Johns and Cinda (Johns) Thomas. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Luther D. Wiley; second husband, Robert Stockley and siblings; Theodore Johns, William Johns, Naomi (Johns) Cooper, Kenneth Johns, David Johns, and Patricia (Johns) Cook.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025, at 1 PM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA, where Rev. Dr. A. Robert Cook will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Norland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 5051 Letterkenny Rd. West, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
