Delores V. Wilson, 84, of Chambersburg, passed away on Friday, December 8, 2023 at Laurel Lakes Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born July 16, 1939 in Concord, PA, she was a daughter of the late Jacob Scott Freet and Verna Alice Smith Freet. Her husband, Wilbur “Carl” Wilson, preceded her in death.
Delores had been employed at the Gettysburg Shoe Factory, Fairfield Shoe Factory and the Hanover Shoe Factory over the years. Most recently she was employed at Baer Packing. She enjoyed watching television and taking care of her cats.
She is survived by her son, Roger Gipe of Elizabethtown; granddaughter, Lydia Markle (Brandon) of Elizabethtown; and two siblings, Paul Freet of Fayetteville, and Betty Morrison of Honey Brook. Aside from her parents and husband, Delores was preceded in death by an infant daughter; and four siblings, Robert Hockenberry, Jean Flickinger, Ronald Freet, and Michael Guyer.
Service and interment will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg, PA.
