Denise R. (Wright) Murray, 56, of Chambersburg, PA passed away Saturday, December 23, 2023 in her home. Born April 16, 1967 in Hopkinsville, KY she was the daughter of Eugene and Teresa (Ewan) Wright of Ormond Beach, FL.
She was a graduate of Bradshaw Mountain High School with the Class of 1984. She later went on to obtain her nursing degree. Denise was a registered nurse and currently employed with Heartland Hospice. She loved the beach, animals, riding horses, and more than anything spending time with her daughters.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her daughter Molly Rose Murray of Orrstown, PA; two siblings, Dwayne Wright and his wife Margaret of Kaiser, WV and Carol Wright of Frederick, MD; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Casey Elizabeth Murray who passed away August 28, 2020.
A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM, Tuesday, January 2, 2024 in the Chapel of the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202 with Pastor Emmert Banzhoff officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Tuesday afternoon in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 5051 Letterkenny Road W., Chambersburg, PA 17201.
