Dennis W. Flythe, age 70, of Chambersburg, PA passed away peacefully in York Hospital on July 10, 2024. Born October 12, 1953, in Greencastle, PA he was the son of the late William Flythe and Sara M. (Colbert) Flythe-Lewis and step-father Joshua Lewis.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers Michael Flythe and Gary Flythe; niece, Sabrina Burnett; and nephew, Jose Flythe.
Denny attended Greencastle Antrim High School and graduated from Delaware State University. While home from school one summer he met his wife Judith L. (Purvis) Flythe to whom he married over 45 years ago. During those years Denny focused on providing for his family and creating a legacy.
He is survived by his wife Judith L. (Purvis) Flythe; three children, Tiffany (Flythe) Beachem (and fiancé Troy Jackson), Julian (and wife Jennifer) Flythe, and Vanity (and husband Matt) Bunting; eight grandchildren that he would do anything for Malik, Zion, Aalyiah, Giovanni, Nolan, Easton, Justyce and Jayda. Denny also leaves behind his brothers, Roy Flythe and Milton Smothers; sister, Margret Burnett and a host of nieces and nephews that adored him.
To know Denny was to love him, his strong belief in family and willingness to do anything for them leaves us all with an immense feeling of sorrow. However, we can find peace in our hearts knowing that he will continue to watch over us, all while debating the best football team (go Raiders) with his mother and brothers.
Until we meet again, with love from your family and friends.
