Dennis Forsythe

Dennis Lynn Forsythe, age 59, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away in his home on Saturday, September 22, 2012. Born in Waynesboro, PA on November 1, 1952, he was the son of Kenneth Maynard Forsythe and the late Opal Pearl Byers.
A veteran, Dennis served honorably in both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy. He was last employed at Gabler Trucking. Dennis enjoyed cooking, canoeing, camping, going on road trips with his family, and spending time with his family.
Surviving is his wife of 23 years, Laura Denell Forsythe, whom he married on November 25, 1988, two daughters, Cher Forsythe Harshman (husband Scott) of Marion, PA and Elisabeth Lucille Forsythe at home; two grandchildren, Ashley and Scotty Harshman, one great-granddaughter, Addison Harshman, and two siblings, Yvonne McClure of La Plata, MD and Bonita Pieper (husband Kenneth) of Chambersburg, PA. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, September 30, 2012 at 1:30 PM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA; where Rev. Manny Diaz will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Inurnment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society, 384 Floral Ave. Chambersburg, PA 17201.
