Dennis Hershey

Dennis C. Hershey, 75, of Chambersburg, PA passed away Monday, December 11, 2023 in his home. Born November 26, 1948 in Chambersburg he was the son of the late Earl and Ethel (Slike) Hershey.

He was a graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School with the Class of 1967. Denny was employed as a custodian for Chambersburg Area Senior High School. He retired October 18, 2010. Denny was also employed part time at Giant on Wayne Avenue for fifteen years. He enjoyed hunting. Denny and his wife attended Grand Point Church in Chambersburg.

He is survived by his wife of eleven years, Teresa K. (Swailes) Hershey who he married, May 5, 2012; two children, Heather Norris of Shippensburg, PA and Jeremy Hershey of Lititz, PA; a grandson, Mason Hershey; a brother, Douglas Hershey of Chambersburg, and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by four siblings, David Hershey, Dawn Wagner, Deborah Hershey and Tyola Hershey.

Services will be held 1:00 PM, Friday, December 15, 2023 in the Chapel of the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202 with Pastor Lawrence Metzler. Burial will follow in Lincoln Cemetery, Chambersburg.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday evening as well as one hour prior to the service Friday morning in the funeral home.
