Dereck Middlekauff

Dereck Alan Middlekauff, 23, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, November 5, 2016 in the emergency room of Chambersburg Hospital. Born January 21, 1993 in Chambersburg, he was a son of Timothy R. and Melissa Wright Ebersole. Dereck was a 2011 graduate of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School. He was a licensed mechanic and was most recently employed at OHL in Chambersburg. He was a member at one time of the Boy Scouts and he enjoyed X-Box, fishing, and spending time with his family, especially his fiancé Ashley and his son Gage.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his fiancé, Ashley Mathna; his son, Gage Alexander Middlekauff; siblings Zane Middlekauff (Mallory Myers), Ben Muhs (wife April), Laura Middlekauff (Luke Stouffer), and Kyler Middlekauff; his maternal grandfather David Wright; paternal grandparents Terry and Pat Ebersole and Marlene Reader; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Judith Wright.

Services and interment will be private. Friends are invited to gather to celebrate Dereck’s life from 6:00-9:00 PM Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 26 West Commerce Street, Chambersburg, PA (at the intersection of Philadelphia Avenue and Commerce Street).

The family requests the omission of flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to a trust fund for his son at any F&M Trust branch c/o Gage A. Middlekauff.
