Dolores Fahnestock

Dolores J. Fahnestock, 86, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away Saturday morning, November 8, 2014 at Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born May 14, 1928 in Wilkes-Barre, PA, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Helen Trentowski Mayeski. She retired as Office Manager at RCA. A member of Bethel Assembly of God, Mrs. Fahnestock had volunteered as pianist for the kazoo band and ManorCare Health Services and taught Sunday School for nearly sixty years.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth L. Fahnestock, whom she married October 6, 1973; two daughters, Vickie Summers and husband Jay of Lancaster, PA and Beverly Linn and husband Nate of London, OH; eight grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Genevieve Burniski of Syracuse, NY, and a brother, William Mayeski (wife Evelyn) of Sebring, FL. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Emily Mayeski and Lottie Boland; and three brothers, John Mayeski, Thomas Mayeski, and Rev. Anthony Mayeski.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 11, 2014 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA with Rev. D.J. Paglia and Rev. Garry Kipe officiating. The family will receive friends from Noon – 2:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Private interment will be at Hanover-Green Cemetery in Wilkes-Barre, PA.
