Donald Gracyalny

Donald Joseph Gracyalny, 84, passed away on August 29, 2021, in Chambersburg, PA. All four of his children and his wife were by his side.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Margaret; two sons James and his wife Roxann of Cedarburg, Wisconsin; John and his wife Melissa of Gaithersburg, Maryland and two daughters Theresa Pelletier of Farmingdale, Maine and Jennifer Loyer and her husband Jason of Ashburn, Virginia. In addition, he has nine grandchildren, Aimee Pelletier, Michelle Pelletier, Nicole Pelletier, Nicholas Gracyalny, Max Gracyalny, Jacob Gracyalny, Zachary Gracyalny, Fletcher Loyer, and Dashel Loyer. He is preceded in death by his parents Felix Ignatius Gracyalny and Henrietta North Gracyalny of Utica, New York.
Don was born on June 25, 1937 in Sangerfield, New York. He graduated from St. Bonaventure University in 1959 with a degree in Business Administration. He served his country as a lieutenant in the United States Army Reserves from 1960-1969. After graduation he worked for Corning Glass for seven years. He continued his successful career in Finance over the next 40 years at IBM, Loral and Lockheed Martin. At age 66, he retired as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Lockheed Martin Mission Systems.
Don had many close friends. He had a true love of numbers, all things financial and enjoyed following stocks. He enjoyed playing golf and poker with his buddies. Don was a very active member in many philanthropic organizations, including the Chambersburg Lions Club.
He will be fondly remembered as a true family man with a generous and kind heart. He took his entire family of nineteen on a cruise to celebrate his 50th wedding anniversary and then a special family Christmas at Marco Island in 2018.
Family and friends are invited to a Vigil Service for the Deceased at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA where Rev. Dominic M. DiBiccaro, Pastor at St. Ignatius Loyola Parish in Orrtanna, PA will officiate. There will be a visitation immediately following the Vigil Service until 3:00 PM. Private interment will be in St. Ignatius Catholic Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, send donations to St. Bonaventure University, The Rescue Scholarship, 3261 West State Street, St. Bonaventure, NY 14778.
There will be a celebration of life reception immediately following from 3:30-6:30 PM at Hauser Hill Event Center, 410 Cashtown Road, Biglerville, PA 17307. (Approximately a 25 minute drive from the funeral home)
