Donald “Mike” Miller, 65, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away unexpectedly Saturday morning, November 27, 2021 at his home. Born December 25, 1955 in Huntingdon, PA, he was a son of Delores Murphy Miller of Chambersburg and the late Donald L. Miller who preceded him in death in 2011. Mike was a 1974 graduate of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School. A self-employed cabinet maker he owned and operated Miller’s Custom Kitchens for more than 30 years. Mike could fix just about anything and would readily stop whatever he was working on to help family and friends whenever needed. He enjoyed golfing and traveling with his friends when he could find the time, but he was never one to just sit and relax. As his daughters grew up, he never missed any of their sporting or school events. He helped to coach softball in their younger years and sponsored many of their teams with his business. More recently, he would be on the sidelines for all of his granddaughter Kyah’s activities and enjoyed taking her golfing as she learns the game. He and his wife Robin would also make trips to Chesterfield, VA to attend their grandchildren’s activities when able.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Roberta “Robin” Rider Miller, whom he married February 21, 1975; his daughters, Tammy S. Kegerreis (Chad) of Chambersburg and Jodi L. Pollock (Curt) of Chesterfield, VA; five grandchildren, Gretchen, Viktoria, Jack, Ilya Pollock, and Kyah Kegerreis; his brother Scott Miller (Carla) of Newburg and his sister Jan Seitz (Rick) of Carlisle. He is also survived by three nieces, Emily Line (Connor), Rachel Davies (Alex), and Erin Miller; and a nephew, Ethan Miller. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Steven.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, December 3, 2021 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Rev. Harold E. Yeager will officiate. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday and from 9:00-10:00AM Friday at the funeral home.
