Donalee Hallock

Donalee Ann Hallock, age 71, of Marion, PA, passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at her home with her family by her side. Born on September 22, 1942 in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Mary Jane Brant Diffenderfer.

A registered nurse, Mrs. Hallock earned her nursing degree from the Harrisburg Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1962. She dedicated 28 years to helping others as an R.N. at Menno Haven in Chambersburg, retiring after 28 years of service. She enjoyed painting, bird watching, caring for others and gardening.

Surviving is her beloved husband of 50 years, Peter K. Hallock, Sr.; whom she married on December 28, 1963; her children, Peter K. Hallock, Jr. (Je’anne Kemp) of New Orleans, LA and Amanda Abercrombie (Brian A.) of Chambersburg, PA; four grandchildren, Amy, Robert Tyler, Tyler James, and Jeremy; three great-grandchildren, Audrey, Owen, and Mackenna; and one brother, Fred Diffenderfer of Amanda, OH.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 7, 2014 at 1 PM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Parklawns Memorial Gardens.
