Donna Joyce Hamilton, age 70, of Chambersburg, died on Monday, May 30, 2011 in her home, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born on February 17, 1941 in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late Quentin H. Pheil and Kathryn I. Friese Pheil.
A 1959 graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School, Donna retired from the former Stanley Clothing Company. She was a member of King Street United Brethren Church and its Buds of Promise Sunday School Class. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Gerald E. Hamilton, whom she married on October 26, 1968; one daughter, Crystal L. (and husband, Jim) Fennen; and three grandchildren, Lauren A., Adam H., and Alex Q. Fennen, all of Chambersburg.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Friday, June 3, 2011 in the chapel of the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, with Rev. Lester F. Stine and Rev. Paul B. Baker officiating. Interment will follow in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7-9 PM on Thursday and from 9-10 AM on Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Buds of Promise Sunday School Class, c/o King Street United Brethren Church, 162 E. King Street, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
