Doreen E. Horst, 73, of Chambersburg, PA passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born October 9, 1944, in Chambersburg, She was a daughter of the late Lista Frey Martin and the late Paul J. Martin. A homemaker most of her life, Doreen was a member of the Chambersburg Mennonite Church, where she enjoyed teaching Sunday School. Her hobbies included scrapbooking, talking, reading, cooking, entertaining, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren, family, and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Jere, whom she married March 14, 1964; two daughters, Brenda S. Lueck (Kevin) of Arnold, MD and Vonda K. Bulfer (Charles) of Las Vegas, NV; two sons, Brian J. Horst (Rita) of Chambersburg and Dean A. Horst (Loretta) of Chambersburg; and nine grandchildren, Dakota, Wyatt, Kyle, Cassidy, Tori, Brett, Sadye, Tommy, and Cheyenne. She is also survived by seven siblings, Wilma Wadel (Dale), Wayne Martin (Carolyn), Joanne Horst (John), Jenny Martin (Lyle), Lester Martin (Esther), Lee Martin (Sue), and Denny Martin.

The family will receive friends from 4:00-8:00 PM Saturday, April 14, 2018, at Chambersburg Mennonite Church, 1800 Philadelphia Avenue, Chambersburg, PA, where funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, April 15, 2018. Rev. Dale Lehman and Rev. Jerry Roth will officiate. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service on Sunday.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in her name to the Chambersburg Mennonite Church Cemetery Fund at the above address.

Arrangements are entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA.
