Doris Elliott Baughman

Doris Elliott Baughman, age 95, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2024, at Luther Ridge Nursing Home. Born in Chambersburg, PA on October 25, 1928, she was the daughter of the late David and Zelda Etter Elliott.

Mrs. Baughman was a 1947 graduate of the former Chambersburg High School. She was a homemaker most of her adult life, caring for her family and ensuring they had everything they needed. Mrs. Baughman was a member of the Chambersburg Church of the Brethren, a life member of the Fayetteville Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, and AARP. She enjoyed cooking, baking, knitting, adult coloring, and painting; however her most cherished time was spending time with her family.

Surviving are four children, Beverly Brookens (husband Dennis) of Fayetteville, PA, Vicki Wagaman (husband Kenneth) of Fayetteville, PA, Rob Baughman (wife Debra) of Chambersburg, PA, and Susan Furry (husband Jeffrey W. ) of Chambersburg, PA; nine grandchildren, Andrew, Travis, Scott, Troy, Brandi, Amy, Amber, Andrew, and Molly; 20 great-grandchildren; and 2 great great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Baughman in 2015 and a brother, Alvin Elliott.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at 11 AM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA, where Pastor Darlene Stouffer will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday in the funeral home. Entombment in Parklawns Memorial Gardens will be private. The family would like to thank the staff at SpiriTrust Lutheran at Luther Ridge for their excellent care. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the charity of one’s choice.
