Doris Ervin

Doris L. Ervin, 65, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at her home. Born January 18, 1956 in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late William E. and Geraldine M. Kauffman Ervin. Doris was a 1974 graduate of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School. She was currently employed at Gates Rubber in Chambersburg where she worked for the past 15 years. Previously she had worked at Regency Thermographers in Waynesboro and at Frank’s Pizza in Chambersburg. Doris had attended the former Chambersburg First Church of God. She enjoyed volunteering with the Girl Scouts and spending time with her family, especially her nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. She liked working puzzles and had a special place in her heart for her cat, Abby.

She is survived by her brother, Eugene Ervin (Lisa) of Arlington, TX; two sisters, Linda Leevy (Gregory) of Chambersburg and Vickie Frantz (David) of Marion; nine nieces and nephews, Adaline Leevy, Kelly Wilhelm, Katherine Clem, Karen Frantz, Jacob Frantz, Christina Bailey, Rachel Cantero, Eugene Ervin, and Michael Ervin; and several great nieces and nephews; as well as two great-great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Ervin.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, July 2, 2021 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Pastor Japeth Nell will officiate. Interment will follow at Grindstone Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from Noon-1:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
