Doris McCleary

Doris J. McCleary, age 73, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, SC. Born March 4, 1942 in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Blaine D. Creamer, Jr. and Anna P. Butts Stockslager.
Along with her husband, Mrs. McCleary was co-owner and operator of Creamer Oil Company for 20 years, retiring in 1996. She was a member of St. Thomas United Methodist Church, the Mercersburg American Legion Auxiliary, the VFW post 1599 in Chambersburg, and the Saintly Saints. Mrs. McCleary loved going to Myrtle Beach in the winter and going to yard sales.
Surviving is her beloved husband of 54 years, Ronald G. McCleary , whom she married on September 24, 1960; two daughters, Kathy J. Bittinger of Fayetteville, PA and Kimberly S. Ridenour (husband Dan) of Myrtle Beach, SC; four grandchildren, Derek Ridenour, Kiesha Wolabaugh, Wesley Bittinger, And Daniele Ridenour; one great –granddaughter, Aubree Bittinger; and a sister, Barbara L. Clever (husband Roger) of Greencastle, PA.
Funeral services to honor Mrs. McCleary will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at 1 PM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Lincoln Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to the Salvation Army, 159 Lincoln Way West, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
