Doris McClure

Doris J. McClure, age 84, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Saturday morning, July 26, 2014 at Chambersburg Hospital. Born December 28, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Kathleen Flora Florig. Her beloved husband, Robert L. McClure, Sr. preceded her in death on September 11, 1986.

Doris worked as a file clerk for T.B. Wood’s Co. until her retirement in 1988 after approximately 20 years of service. She enjoyed caring for her flower garden and looking after her dog Franklin. She also enjoyed attending the Trinity Lutheran Sunday School luncheons.

She is survived by two children, Cindy Roach and husband Kenneth of Largent, WV, and Robert Lee McClure, II and wife Lori of Shippensburg, PA; five grandchildren, Billie Lynch of Port Deposit, MD, Kenneth Roach, Jr., of Romney, WV, Skylee Roach of Harrisonville, PA, Robbin McClure of Shippensburg, and Robert Lee McClure, III of Shippensburg; five great-grandchildren, Greer and Kara Barshinger, Mackenzie Lynch, Madison Eikelberger, and Konstance Roach; and one niece, Robin Florig Bair. Aside from her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her brother, Charles Florig, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 31, 2014 in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Rev. Dr. Neal O. Hively will officiate. Interment will follow the service in Lincoln Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
