Doris Miller

Doris Jane Holtry Miller, 81 of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born August 15, 1934 in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Sarah Hendricks Holtry.
Mrs. Miller attended the former Chambersburg High School. She went on to work at the former Stanley Company, where she worked for over 45 years. Mrs. Miller has been a member of King Street Church since 1946. She was a past President of The Buds of Promise Sunday School Class and an honorary member of the New Life Class. Mrs. Miller was an active member of the King Street Visitation Ministry.
Surviving are two children, Roxann Miller and Cathy Sue Miller, both of Chambersburg, PA; two grandchildren, Joshua and Matthew Musser; and three siblings, Ronald “Buck” Holtry, Hull Holtry, and Saundra Holtry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Miller, Sr. in 1998.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 4, 2015, at 1 PM at King Street Church, 162 East King St., Chambersburg, PA, where Rev. Lester F. Stine and Rev. Paul B. Baker will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 3, 2015, from 6 to 8 PM at the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA and one hour prior to the service at the above church and address. Interment will follow the service in Norland Cemetery.
