Doris Stahl

Doris E. Stahl, 74, of St. Thomas, PA, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill. Born December 3, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Ellwood M. and Mary E. Mouer Stahl.
A 1958 graduate of the former St. Thomas Township High School, Doris devoted 24 ½ years of her life to the Commonwealth of PA, where she worked as a secretary at Penn DOT in Harrisburg. She also held numerous other jobs throughout her life including waitressing, short order cook, and worked for Citi Corp and Corning Glass Works. Doris was a member of Brandts Church of the Brethren. She enjoyed horseback riding and dog shows.
Doris is survived by her son, Tony Stahl (wife Lisa) of Chambersburg; two grandsons, Blake A. Stahl of Carlisle, PA, and Mitchell E. Stahl of Los Angeles, CA; two brothers, Harold Stahl (wife Janice) of New Oxford, and Duane Stahl (wife Thelma) of St. Thomas; a niece; and several nephews. In addition to her parents, Doris is preceded in death by her sister, Marlene Stouffer.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 5051 Letterkenny Rd. West, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
