Dorothea Hane

Dorothea J. Hane, age 85, of Chambersburg, Pa and formerly of Painter, VA, passed away in the Menno Haven Nursing Home on Thursday, August 9, 2012. Born May 18, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Leslie and Dorothy DuBry Jasper.
A graduate of Hood College class of 1949, Mrs. Hane was a teacher in Frederick County and Montgomery County, MD. She was active in the League of Women Voters, and a member of the Montgomery Hospital Auxiliary, and the Eastern Shore Yacht and Country Club, Melfa, VA.
She is survived by her children, Jeannette Mendonca and her husband, Patrick; Pamela Earhart and her husband, Robert; James W. Hane, Jr.; Mary Patricia Kulina and her late husband, Stephen; Michael O. Hane and his wife, Joan; and Margaret Holbert and her husband, Arlie; and eleven grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, John Lawrence Hane and her husband, James W. Hane, Sr., and a sister, Patricia Jasper Bradley
Services and Interment will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA.
