Dorothy Allee

Dorothy M. Slifer Allee, 82, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away Sunday morning, January 29, 2017 at the Shook Home. Born April 12, 1934 in Hagerstown, MD, she was a daughter of the late Floyd M. and Grace Cassel Slifer. Mrs. Allee was a 1953 graduate of the former Chambersburg High School. She was employed for many years at the former Pet-Ritz in Chambersburg and later at Vandekamps following their purchase of Pet-Ritz. She worked at the former Ames Department Store and was last employed by Lehman’s Egg Service. She was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church and Women of the Moose #1128 in Chambersburg.

She is survived by her son, Ronald A. Allee and wife Loretta of Chambersburg; two grandchildren, Eric and Shelby Allee; her great-granddaughter Nova Grace Allee; and two sisters Georgia Kauffman and husband Ray and Virginia Gift, all of Chambersburg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Slifer; and a sister, Betty Barklow.

Services and interment will be private.
