Dorothy Bricker

Dorothy E. Bricker, age 89, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away at her home on Tuesday, February 14, 2017. Born March 2, 1927, in Chambersburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Mildred Cowan Rice.
A homemaker most of her life, Mrs. Bricker enjoyed quilting, sewing, caring for her grandchildren, and babysitting the neighborhood children.
Surviving are six children, Jeanette Lehman (husband Melvin) of Columbiana, OH, Bernice DeStefano (husband David) of Lewistown, PA, Roger Bricker (wife Carolyn) of Chambersburg, PA, Delores Beltz of Milford, DE, Margaret Bennett (husband Barry) of Rebersburg, PA, and Leonard Bricker (wife Glenda) of Chambersburg, PA; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Martha Miller of Chambersburg, PA and Stanley Rice (wife Doris) of Carlisle, PA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death her husband, Harry N. Bricker; by a son-in-law, Jeffrey Beltz; and six siblings.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 20, 2017, at 1 PM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA, where Rev. Karl Carpenter and Rev. Fred Bennett will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 19 from 6 – 8 PM and one hour prior to the service on Monday in the funeral home.
