Dorothy Mills

Dorothy Jane Mills, 97, formerly of Chambersburg, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at United Zion Personal Care, Lititz, PA. Born August 29, 1926 in Clearspring, MD, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Angle and Nellie Shinham Angle, and widow to the late David Mills, who preceded her in death December 30, 2011. They had been married for 65 years at the time of his passing.

Dorothy devoted her life to her Savior and to her family. She had a heart for children, and spent many hours of her life seeing to it that they came to know the Lord. She taught at the Child Evangelism after school program and the summer camp at Cowan’s Gap, where she enjoyed reading scripture with the kids. She was a prayer warrior for all of her friends and family. In her free time, she also enjoyed doing word searches and knitting.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Linda Morse (Thomas) and Faye Zook (Fred); daughter in law, Mary Mills; four grandchildren, David and Brian Zook, Christa LeMoine and Zachary Mills: 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and one brother, Charles Angle (Jayne). In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael Mills, as well as five siblings.

Funeral services for Dorothy will be held on Wednesday April 10th, 2024, at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA, where Pastor Stan McCammon will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Following the funeral, Dorothy will be laid to rest at 12:00 Noon in Stone Bridge Church of the Brethren Cemetery, 14904 Orchard Ridge Road, Hancock, MD 21750. The family requests the omission of flowers.
