Dorothy Pastor

May 3, 1937 — March 24, 2022

Dorothy “June” Pastor, 84, of Fayetteville, PA, and formerly of Glassport, PA passed away Thursday, March 24, 2022 in her home with her family by her side. Born May 3, 1937 in Thurston, OH, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Dean and Margaret M. (Lenhart) England, and widow to the late Thomas George Pastor, who preceded her in death on August 20, 2017.

A 1955 graduate of Duquesne High School, June was known for her likeable and engaging personality and became Miss Duquesne High and was the captain of the varsity cheerleading squad. After high school, June went on to work for the Tuberculosis Society and the American Lung Association of Allegheny County, PA where she was the first Miss Christmas Seals of the American Lung Association of Western Pennsylvania.

After marrying the love of her life, Tom, she then worked as an administrative assistant for Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory in West Mifflin, PA, along with her newlywed husband. After taking some time away to spend raising her family and being a wonderful, loving stay-at-home mother to her two children, June then went back into the workforce as the retail sales manager of Kill’s Pharmacy in Glassport, PA. After the pharmacy closed its doors, June then transitioned into banking and was employed for 25 plus years as a Customer Relations Manager at the McKeesport National Bank, from where she retired in 2000.

June was a member of the Corpus Christi Catholic Church, the Penn National Ladies 18 Hole Golf League, as well as the Penn National Ladies Blue & White Golf League. She was on the board of the Eleventh Court Condo Association at Penn National and was the coordinator for the Penn National Ladies Luncheon Group. June was an avid golfer, enjoyed sipping on a nice glass of wine and loved rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penn State Nittany Lions. A social butterfly who showed kindness to all, she loved the times shared with her friends and family, and cherished the moments spent supporting her grandchildren in all their school and sporting events.

June is survived by her children, Cheryl Anne Wozniak (husband Daniel) of Sinking Spring, PA and Thomas Dean Pastor (wife Dorothy) of Newburg, PA; three grandchildren, Danielle Lauren Wozniak, Calli Jo (Pastor) Thompson (husband Austen), and Thomas Frank Pastor; one great-granddaughter, Tia Mae Thompson; one brother, Roger Eugene England (wife Gerri) of West Mifflin, PA and her beautiful nieces and nephews. Aside from her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bernard England.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Fr. Allan F. Wolfe, Pastor, at 12 PM, on Friday, April 8, 2022 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 320 Philadelphia Avenue, Chambersburg, PA. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the church, prior to the service. Following the Mass, a funeral luncheon for all guests will follow at the Trellis Room of Penn National Golf Course, Fayetteville, PA. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 3001 Gettysburg Rd., Camp Hill, PA 17011 or at www.lung.org.
